Ms. Karine Kamel

KARINE KAMEL - Managing Partner Communication and CSR expert. Social Entrepreneur. Human rights passionate. Dog & chocolate lover. Driven by her uncompromised passion to make her dream come true, that of a just world. Karine founded bridgegypt - a CSR and Communications Consultancy - in April 2012. She is involved in every detail from operations and administration to business development and client servicing. She also established BECAUSE.BZ in December 2013; an online magazine and communications platform for corporations, NGOs and social entrepreneurs to find common ground. Kamel also worked as NEWGIZA's Marketing and CSR Consultant for a year in parallel to bridgEgypt. Prior to, she held the position of PR and Marketing Director at Orascom Housing Communities (OHC); handling internal and external communications strategies, marketing plans/budgets and overseeing the implementation of all campaigns. During her tenure she also served as the internal resource and external representative on CSR issues. Karine's experience in communication began when she served as an Account Director at Trans-Arabian Creative Communications (TRACCS) where she designed and implemented CSR and PR activities for clients across industries: Al Futtaim Group Real Estate, Credit Agricole, DuPont, bmi, Emeco Travel, Damac and Bristol-Myers Squibb. With 10 years of volunteer experience in social development, she quickly recognized the necessity of converging business interest and development goals. Karine obtained her BA in Psychology with a Marketing minor from Concordia University in Canada. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in leadership from McGill University. In July 2013, she became certified as a CSR Practitioner from the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE), and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
