Ms. Hoda Dahroug Member of the Presidential Advisory Council for Community Development Acting Director of the Central Department for Community Development - Ministry of Communications and Information Technology National Project Director – Egypt ICT Trust fund (MCIT – UNDP) Academic qualification: MBA Paris Sorbonne University, France BA Electronics and Communication, Cairo University, Egypt. Received numerous certificates in ICT applications, projects management and strategic planning. Assumed several leadership positions, most recently as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council for Community Development in addition to her position as Acting Director of the Central Department for Community Development in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Regional Director of the Egyptian ICT Trust Fund – UNDP. Over the course of more than twenty years she was able to work on many projects that contributed to the achievement of global development goals. Through her work in the development field she contributed to several national strategic initiatives: especially for the marginalized segments, the most important of which was a national initiative to eliminate the phenomenon of homeless children. In addition, she worked on the collection of community contributions for the strategy of "Egypt 2030", as well as overseeing the socio-economic development policies using information and communication technologies, many of which were applied to become successful national projects in Egypt and the Arab world and North Africa. The management of many national programs and initiatives, where responsibilities included strategic planning and international cooperation and coordination of partnerships among all stakeholders including governmental, international bodies and private sector companies and civil society organizations. Given the importance of these partnerships she has succeeded in attracting investments of international organizations, the establishment of development partnerships and the promotion of concerted national efforts to implement many developmental initiatives such as literacy, education, health and women's empowerment, youth employment and support entrepreneurship and the integration of persons with disabilities as well as remote and marginalized communities’ initiatives. Adopted a number of innovative development models at the local level the most important among which was the "Sustainable Technological Development Model in Remote Areas" through the development of integrated solutions for various areas of intervention in order to improve the lives of citizens chief among which was the "Telemedicine Project" which will help to enhance health services in these regions. She also participated in many international and regional conferences, working papers and official speaker for the dissemination of best practices and deepening cooperation between the countries of the south, during the administration of the Egyptian Fund for Information and Communication Technology which won more than 20 international awards, most recently the World Summit Award for the Information Society for the "Telemedicine Project."
