Ms. Anne Mathew
Anne Mathew holds a Masters degree (Hons) in Sustainable Environmental Design from the prestigious AA school of Architecture in London with an exchange program at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
She has managed over 150 projects for the built environment in the MENA region, working closely with government policy makers over a wide range of high-profile projects in Urban development, Healthcare, Hospitality, Educational, Commercial, Residential and Sports facilities. In her current role as the Regional Head for Sustainability in the Engineering & Construction industry, her team of MEP Engineers, Architects, certified Environmental Auditors, Energy Modelling experts and Facilities Management, follow the circular business model whilst tackling the region’s challenges in sustainability and energy.
She is a recipient of individual awards at the International Property Awards and MENA Green Building Awards for Research. An active member of Dubai Business Women Council, she has been part of the judging panel at the Gulf Sustainability & CSR Awards in 2019 and will be returning this year for the event in June as a Judge. A peer reviewer at this year’s Green Build International Conference, she will also be seen as a speaker at this year’s Egypt CSR Forum as an advocate to build an interconnected, developed, smart and sustainable future.
Her specialization includes Green Building Certification (LEED, Estidama, EHS-Trakhees, Safat, Barjeel, GRIHA), Energy Management, Energy Audits, Cleantech opportunities, Environmental Impact Assessments, Post occupancy Evaluation, Energy modelling simulation, Financial and Sustainability Integrated Reporting. Her current area of research is on executing strategic Construction 4.0 principles.
Her passion that lies in exploring how addressing the environmental needs can create positive social impact and economic growth has developed a niche expertise in developing and executing Strategic Sustainable Initiatives by integrating passive design, advanced design, construction, operations and risk management.
