Suez Canal Container Terminal Head of External Communication & Government relations APM Terminals – Maersk Group, Egypt Born in Cairo 1971, Hany El Nady graduated with a bachelor degree of Military Science from the Egyptian Military Academy. He has an extensive working experience in public, governmental and private sector. He is adept at strategic planning, protocol, government & media relations and business development and organizational change. He’s been working in the field of logistics and maritime transport and financial investment for more than seven years in prominent int’l firms: SCCT/APMT and “El Qalaa Holding” (previously known as Citadel Capital). Since his appointment in 2015, as “Head of External Communication & Government Relations sector” at APM Terminals of maritime transport and logistics Egypt. He’s assigned with the regional team to manage various stakeholder engagement and to develop future investment opportunities for Maersk Group in Egypt. He has a prominent role in rebuilding strategic relations with the Egyptian government and highlighting the role of the Group as a key partner for the development of the economic hub of the Suez Canal. He contributed to the growth of the business, in addition to transforming corporate responsibility into a shared value during the socio-economic downturn following the revolution in 2011. Prior to joining the private sector, Mr. El Nady served as chamberlain of the Egyptian Presidency where he became protocol specialist. His proof of excellence includes planning & execution of mega events, royal visits, letters of recognition from the kings and head of states of Arab and foreign countries. Started his early career as an Egyptian Special Forces Officer (paratroop) in 1992 then joined the Republican Guards in 1995 to achieve many successes at the professional level alongside his core competencies that promoted his vast career growth. Hany received numerous courses and professional training courses in several topics in the field of security and national security, training, leadership of subordinates in senior management and strategic planning in Egypt, UK, Denmark and the United States of America .
